4th District Congressional Candidates Debate Current Issues in Yakima

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA. -- With election day just a few weeks away, 4th district congressional candidates Clint Didier and Dan Newhouse are racing to get their message out.

Monday both candidates debated in front of the Yakima Chamber of Commerce. They were asked questions ranging from immigration to healthcare and even how they would deal with ISIS.

"No new taxes," Clint Didier said. "No increase in existing taxes. Anything, and I mean anything that grows the federal government by one dollar, regardless of party, I will vote against. So help me god."

"I want to take what I've learned in this Washington, the state of Washington," Dan Newhouse said. "Learning how to work with people, how to work across that political line, work to find common ground, to find solutions so that this country can move forward successfully."

The last day to register in person for the November election is October 27th. Ballots will be mailed out to registered voters later this week.
