NBC RIGHT NOW-- If you are a registered voter in Washington State, your ballot and voter's pamphlet should come in the mail next week.

They will include the state candidates and the three statewide initiatives.

Initiative 1351 is a measure to lower class sizes, and pay for more teaching and student support including librarians, counselors, school nurses, and teaching assistants.

The voter pamphlets will also explain the dueling gun control measures, I-591 and I-594.

I-591 will prevent the state from adopting background-check laws that go beyond the national standard.

I-594 would require background checks for all gun sales and transfers in Washington State, including those at gun shows.

The state elections division is putting the pamphlets in the mail this week.  They should arrive by next Wednesday.

Since there are more voters than pamphlets, you may have to share with someone in your home, but you will get your own individual ballot.
