UPDATE: AMBER Alert For 9-year-old Boy Canceled

UPDATE/VANCOUVER, Wa. - Police in Vancouver, Washington have canceled an AMBER Alert for 9-year-old Andrey Vorenenko.

Police say he was found camping in Hood River with his father.


PREVIOUS/VANCOUVER, WA - Police in Vancouver, Washington believe a 9-year-old boy may be in danger. An AMBER Alert was issued Tuesday evening for Andrey Voronenko. He's described as 4'10", 74 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. 

Officers say his father, Alexey Voronenko, may have picked the child up from school around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. Alexey had been in jail in Texas for domestic violence when his wife left the area. She is staying in Vancouver. Alexey has been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic. Police believe the child could be hurt.

The two could be traveling in a dark grey 2007 Honda Accord with Texas license plate number: CKK3638.
