Kadlec Prepares Task Force for Ebola

Posted: Updated:
RICHLAND, WA - Kadlec Hospital is addressing panic over Ebola in the US. Kadlec's Infectious Disease Specialist sent out a message to all employees Wednesday about the how Kadlec is preparing.

With all eyes on Ebola, Kadlec is confident in their nurses and first responders to take care of any situation. They confirmed Wednesday that not only are strict control practices in place but a task force communicating with Providence Health Network has been formed should anything happen.

Jim Hall, a Kadlec spokesperson told NBC Right Now, "so then from there obviously we're following the procedures we already have in place to/should something happen a screening would carry to following the protocols that are already in place".

Jim told me that although risk is low in our area they are following strict CDC guidelines.

The letter addressing employees states that if any patient were confirmed with Ebola it would be publicly reported to the Department of Health.

NBC Right Now spoke off camera with a man in training at Kadlec. He reassured that not only was he confident in the personnel at Kadlec but that their was open communication on preparing if an incident were to take place.
