TIETON, WA-- On Saturday, you have the chance to help out hungry families in our area with the first ever Carve Out Hunger food drive with Northwest Harvest.

This event will feature NBC Right Now's very own Tim Adams and Tracci Dial as they carve out a pumpkin to help raise money for the organization.

The pumpkin will be raffled off and the proceeds will help pay for food for hungry families.

Sherri Bissell from Northwest Harvest said money is king when it comes to food drives because it can go a long way.

"The monetary donations like the $40.00 ticket purchase helps us to buy bulk foods like rice, beans, and pasta, and it helps to ensure that we have that nutrition going out to the food banks," Bissell said.

There will be food, drinks and entertainment all evening long.

It starts at 6:30 Saturday evening at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in Tieton.

Tickets are $40.00 each and one ticket purchase will pay for 180 nutritious meals to families in our area.

You must be 21 and older to attend.
