Man Arrested in Walla Walla after an Armed Robbery

A man is in Walla Walla County Jail today after an armed robbery at a persons home.

 Dylan Cayne Arland,23  was arrested early this morning  at  the 400 block of Harrison Street. 

Arland and another suspect (whose name isn't being released at this time) entered the residence at about 11:20 p.m. and pointed a handgun at the head of one of the residents. The men demanded Marijuana and tobacco. 

Approximately 30 minutes later, a Police officer observed a matching vehicle on McCauliff Street, driving at a fast speed.

 The vehicle stopped in the 200 block of McCauliff Street and the people inside then ran. A Sheriff's Department K-9 was called in to search the area, but the suspects were not located.

Officers were sent to the Harrison Street address again, just before 1:30 a.m., after the suspects returned to the victims' residence and fired the handgun more than once. 

There were no injuries. 

Arland was arrested AND is currently lodged at the Walla Walla County Jail on probable cause for Burglary and Robbery in the 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance , and Obstructing a Public Servant. 

Walla Walla Police Department said the investigation is continuing.
