RICHLAND, WA- After almost 10 years, McMurray Park continues to get work done to maintain its natural habitat

Volunteers Saturday planted and cleaned the park.  The annual clean-up aimed to help McMurray park become better for the environment and volunteers said pocket parks like this one are important.

“It certainly improves the quality of life of all the residents who are around this area,” said Cheryl Cannon, volunteer.

Nearly 2,000 people live around the park and the Richland Rehabilitation has helped out as well.

The park provides a natural habitat for wildlife in the area.
