Thompson's Pumpkin Patch Had Another Successful Weekend

NACHES, WA.- Thompson's Fruit Farm in Naches had another successful weekend while hosting their annual pumpkin patch festival.

People from all over the Yakima Valley have been gathering at Thompsons since the beginning of the month.

From the homemade foods, hay rides, corn maze, and the crowd favorite, the pumpkin shooters, which launch pumpkins into the air every hour, John Thompson says this event has become quite the tourist attraction.

“We're probably one of the bigger tourist attractions in the Naches area and we don't say that to brag it's just how it happened. This year we added a couple new items and one of those was the pig races and its been well received,” Thompson said.

Next weekend will close out the event, but the Thompson's leave the pumpkin patch open all week long.

Thompson says he's excited to continue adding to the festival and can't wait to see what they come up with for next year.

They're open from eleven to five on weekends and by appointment on the weekdays.
