KENNEWICK, WA - A woman from Granite Falls is in the Benton County Jail after police say she tried to rob the Kennewick Rite Aid.

Police say Tuesday afternoon, the store's loss prevention officer saw 20-year-old Jordyn C. Gentry hide items in her purse and try to leave. When the officer went up to her, police say she tried to run, so the officer grabbed her purse. Police say Gentry then punched the loss prevention officer several times, and tried to bite them before running off.

Police say she left her purse behind, which had clothing and personal items in it, that were taken from the Rite Aid.

Officers found her, arrested her on robbery charges, and booked her into jail.
