TRI-CITIES, WA- Strong winds caused some trees to fall over in some neighborhoods early Sunday Morning.

Some Richland homeowners spent Sunday cleaning up a large tree that fell in the middle of the street.  No one was injured.

The homeowners said it happened around 3 a.m. Sunday morning as the winds  picked up.

They did not expect the winds to be that strong

“The wind, it was pretty strong and it just knocked down the tree.  I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a lot stronger winds.  It's just starting,” said Jaime Palmecia, homeowner.

Some neighborhoods in Kennewick and Benton City even lost power for some time Saturday night.
