YAKIMA, Wa. - A 25-year-old man has been sentenced in Yakima to 40 years in prison for a drive-by shooting in Toppenish. 

A jury convicted Juan Andres Rodriguez of attempted murder and assault.

His sentence also includes 10 years for using a firearm. 

The victim injured by Rodriguez in the 2012 shooting was able to ram into his car, causing it to crash into a house. Rodriguez was arrested at the scene.
