KENNEWICK, WA- Trios is celebrated on Thursday for a volunteer who is ringing in the big 100 by donating her time and wisdom to a great cause. Maria Gallington is turning 100 years old on Sunday, November 2nd.

She's been a volunteer at Trios, formerly KGH, since 1981. Maria was born in Spain and lived most of her childhood in Guatemala. When she came to America she taught herself English by watching movies and studying other people. She makes handmade paintings and quilts for the gift shop at Trios, often times, taking the work home with her.

Maria said the key to living a fulfilled life is behaving yourself and doing good things for other people. She is excited to see her sister who will be traveling from California to be with her on the big day.
