Studded Tires are Legal Again Starting November 1st

Studded tires are legal in Oregon and Washington beginning Saturday. Studded tires are legal in Oregon and Washington beginning Saturday.
WASHINGTON/OREGON - Studded tires are legal again starting Saturday on roadways in Washington and Oregon. 

Both states allow studs from November 1st through March 31st although most transportation officials would prefer drivers to use all-weather tires or chains when it snows. 

They say studded tires cause millions of dollars of damage to highways and bridge decks.

    LYNNWOOD, Wash. - A 20-year-old Washington state man has been sentenced to less than three years in prison for raping a high school student as she died from a drug overdose and texting semi-nude photos of her. The Daily Herald reports that Brian Varela pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, third-degree rape, and unlawful disposal of remains as part of a plea deal in the February death of 18-year-old Alyssa Noceda.
