UPDATE: The leaking water main at SR 395 has been repaired and water service was restored at 3:30 a.m. Crews will be working on backfilling the site and repairing the road surface. Five feet of asphalt was removed in right southbound lane. WSDOT will determine when traffic can resume on either of the southbound lanes.

KENNEWICK, WA - Southbound drivers in Kennewick may want to avoid Highway 395 between Kennewick Avenue and 10th Avenue this weekend. The Washington State Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes of 395 are closed in the area because of a water main break. Northbound lanes are not affected. 

Crews are working to assess and repair the issue, including a 7-foot hole that the water created under the road. 

The DOT says the southbound lanes of 395 should reopen by 9:00am Monday. Until then, drivers can use a detour from Clearwater Avenue to Interstate 82. 

 

KENNEWICK, WA - A water line is broken in the area of Highway 395 & 10th Avenue in Kennewick.  Crews have the southbound right lane closed which is backing up traffic.  You may want to avoid the area for the evening while they work on getting it fixed.
