West Richland Ranked #2 for Best City for Young Families in Washington

WEST RICHLAND, WA - West Richland is ranked second in the top 10 "Best Cities for Young Families in Washington," according to NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website. 

The study looked at 82 cities across Washington and focused on three factors; public school ratings, home affordability and growth and prosperity. 

The NerdWallet study showed West Richland has the most affordable housing on the list, with an average home value of $193,400, and median homeownership costs of $1,508. 

The education system in Washington State is also listed as exceptionally strong, with none of the schools in the top 20 receiving a GreatSchool rating below 7. 

Recreation in West Richland is also rated as excellent, citing Flat Top Park as a central location for families to relax, watch concerts and to enjoy seasonal events. 

The city of Snoqualmie took the top spot.
