Local Teacher Brings Her Seahawks Fandom Into Classroom

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA. -- We're sure lots of you are looking forward to the Seahawks playoff game Saturday night. While many of us will be watching the game on TV, a select few will be heading over to Seattle for the game.

As soon as you walk in Mrs. LaCoursiere's 4th grade class, you can't miss her Seahawks shrine. And for the teacher that everyone calls, "Mrs. Seahawk", she's helped all of Adams Elementary get in the playoff spirit.

With this outfit, Mrs. Seahawk is definitely a fitting nickname. Mrs. LaCoursiere has been a season ticket holder for four years and even though her seats aren't the best in the house, she's barely ever missed a game in CenturyLink Field.

Her classroom is decked out with hawks gear, but it doesn't stop there. Mrs. LaCoursiere also brought a ten foot blowup Seahawks player that greets all the students as they enter school.

On Saturday, Mrs. LaCoursiere will be one of the die hard fans heading over to CenturyLink to cheer on the hawks.

"It's exciting, nervous," Mrs. LaCoursiere said. "Just because I always am. But I think they're not going to have a problem. So I'm just ready to get over there and cheer and ready for a win!"

Mrs. LaCoursiere's class has one message for all the Seahawks fans out there.

"Go Hawks!"

So while you watch the Seattle Seahawks play the Carolina Panthers Saturday evening, keep an eye out for the very top of the stadium, you might see Mrs. LaCoursiere cheering them on.
