PASCO, WA - Pasco woman wins $50,000 after buying a lottery ticket in Richland on January 7th.

Chareise Ignjatic, 45, of Pasco gave herself a $50,000 present on January 7, while celebrating Serbian Christmas. Ignjatic purchased the "Pure Gold 5x" Scratch ticket from an Albertsons  in Richland, and scratched it immediately in the store.

Ignjatic shared her story saying, "I stopped at the store on the way home to pick up some dog treats for our two English Bulldogs. I saw the Lottery machine and thought, 'What the heck!' So I put $20 in for four tickets. I scratched the second to last number, saw $50,000, and started screaming with excitement. Then the store clerk came over and checked ticket, and we screamed together."

"I sent my husband a picture of the winning ticket, then my phone died." Ignjatic said her husband was pacing around the house in anticipation waiting for her to get home. "He was in complete shock."

"We then proceeded to call all of our family members at 1 a.m. until they woke up." Ignjatic said her family members know her as a jokester. "They didn't believe me at first. I finally convinced my parents it was real, and none of us got any sleep!"

The Ignjatic says she has some practical plans for the money, but also wants to cross some items off of her bucket list. "Most of it will go toward paying our mortgage. Then, we're going to Fiji to get certified in scuba diving!"
