UPDATE: Authorities say the missing person has been safely located and is on his way home.

SILVER ALERT/SPOKANE, WA - Spokane Police need your help finding a 75-year-old man who sufferers from dementia and has been missing since Monday.

Police say Ernest Sheets left his home Monday after taking out all his money out of savings and telling his wife he was "heading South." Police say Sheets take heart medication.

Sheets is 5'9" and weighs 190 lbs. He has gray hair and gray colored eyes.

He may be traveling in a 1995 White Georgie Boy Motorhome with license plate: WA #AFF6558.

For a Silver Alert to be issued, the following criteria must be met:

-Missing individual is driving a car or lost on foot, and 

-Missing person is 60 years or older, and 

-There is a clear indication that the individual has an irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties (i.e., Alzheimer's disease). -This must be verified by law enforcement.
