KENNEWICK, WA - Two people were booked into jail after getting caught shoplifting at Sears in Kennewick Tuesday evening around 9 p.m.

Crystal D. Burke, 33, was booked on theft and Dameon R. Casey, 28, was booked on warrants, false reporting and theft after stealing a 32" Samsung TV valued at $350.

Officers say they responded to Sears for a report that a man had loaded the television into a vehicle and left eastbound through the parking lot. Loss Prevention was still watching the suspected woman inside the store.

The first officer arrived on scene and detained the Burke. The second officer on scene checked the parking lot and located the Casey who was attempting to walk away. Casey was detained and told police a false name.

The stolen television was located still in the box and hidden under the car. Casey had bent the license plate upward so it could not be read.

Police say they saw more stolen merchandise in the car and it was impounded for a search warrant.
