YAKIMA, WA-- Police arrested a man who was planning a terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Authorities arrested an Ohio man who they said was planning to set off pipe bombs in The Capitol, and then shoot people as they fled.

Undercover officers caught 20-year-old Christopher Lee Cornell in Cincinnati buying two assault-type rifles and 600 rounds of ammunition.

Police said Cornell tweeted about ISIS propaganda videos prior to his arrest.

His arrest comes just a day after details emerged about a plot to kill House Speaker John Boehner by poisoning his drinks at an Ohio country club.

With the Paris attack still fresh, authorities fear Cornell was not the only person involved and that one person is still under their radar.

Washington is now doing something about security. The Secret Service is replacing four top managers after a series of potentially dangerous lapses, including the White House fence jumper

As for the plot to bomb the capitol, the FBI has been looking at Christopher Cornell since last year. They said he saved money, but had not made any bombs yet.
