Secret Service Continue Investigating Shots Fired Near Vice President Joe Biden's Home
Members of the Vice President's security said they heard multiple shots fired outside Biden's home.
NBC Right Now-- Vice President Joe Biden spoke at a Martin Luther King Day breakfast Monday morning, as the Secret Service continued to investigate shots fired near his Delaware home.
Members of the Vice President's security said they heard multiple shots fired outside Biden's home on Saturday evening.
Neighbors also heard the gunshots and said they saw a car speeding away.
Soon after, county police reported more shots fired in the area and half an hour after the shooting a man drove by. He was questioned and detained after resisting arrest, but he is not charged in the shooting.
When the shots were fired the Bidens were out for the evening,
Officials said no one else was hurt and they have not found evidence of any damage in the area.
This is not the only recent incident, last week a Delaware National Guard base the Vice President uses raised security after five cars stopped in two days to ask for directions, which authorities found suspicious.
Also last week the FBI revealed separate plots to bomb the U.S. Capitol and to poison House Speaker John Boehner at an Ohio country club.
The agency is investigating amid an internal shakeup. Last week four top managers were replaced.
