Yakima Police Looking for Armed Robbery Suspect

At around 4:30 Monday morning, Yakima police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 600 block of East Yakima Avenue. At around 4:30 Monday morning, Yakima police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 600 block of East Yakima Avenue.
YAKIMA, WA-- At around 4:30 Monday morning, Yakima police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on the 600 block of East Yakima Avenue.  They said a suspect entered the business with a small handgun.  He pointed the handgun at the cashier and demanded money. 

The suspect then fled west from the store with an unknown amount of cash.  Officer did not find him.  

He was described as possibly a white male, 5'2”, medium build, wearing a red hoodie style jacket with black sleeves and a black hood, jeans, and white tennis shoes. 

The cashier was not injured and this investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with any additional information is urged to contact the Yakima Police Department at 509-575-6200.
