KENNEWICK, WA - Potato growers, sellers and producers from across the country are in Kennewick this week giving you a chance to learn about one of the area's biggest industries.

There are more than 100 booths set up at the Three Rivers Convention Center for the annual Potato Conference.

Farmers say the event is a huge opportunity to expand their businesses.

It's also a chance to show off the industry's latest technology, newest and biggest equipment and tastiest new potatoes on the market.

"These are not only good they're good for you, so many of them have such great taste. You bake some of these and your taste buds start popping and the saliva starts flowing. They are so good." says vendor Preston Stanley.

The Potato Conference run through Thursday. The cost is $5.

Organizers say anyone can stop by and learn about  the industry that produces 9 billion pounds of potatoes every year.
