KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police want to remind everyone, don't leave your vehicle running unattended. Even if it's just for a minute.

Police say Joel Madrigal-Nava started his car at 2:45 a.m. on Friday outside his apartment at 1212 W. 10th Ave. He went back inside his apartment to grab his lunch and when he went back outside, his car was gone.

A Franklin County Deputy later spotted Madrigal-Nava's car near the Blue Bridge. The driver, Steven Ray Long, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, Driving in Violation of Ignition Interlock Requirement and Possession of Stolen Property. The Benton County Prosecutor will review the Auto Theft Charge.
