Seahawk Rally To Cheer On Team At Sarg Hubbard Park

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA.- There was a sea of green and blue at Sarg Hubbard Park Saturday morning; fans showed their 12th man pride while anxiously awaiting the Seattle Seahawks second shot at the Super Bowl championship, but what gives Washington residents such Seahawk pride?

Rich Harris has been a die-hard fan for over 20 years he told us it's the fan base that drew him in.

“It's the fan base itself, everybody is very cohesive the fan base is like nothing else. When we go to the games our fans treat the opposing fans with the utmost respect,” Harris told KNDO.

But for life long fan Steve Ferris it's the players and their winning attitudes that give him his 12th man pride.

“Russell Wilson he is an awesome and humble quarterback and they've got the legion of boom, I just love the Seahawks,” Ferris said.

Hundreds showed up for the rally Saturday morning, there were raffle prizes, guest speakers, and a march down the greenway.

It's safe to say whatever the outcome of the game these die-hard hawks fans will still be cheering their team on for years to come.
