Yakima Fan Reactions To Seattle Seahawk Super Bowl Loss

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA.- They'll be "speechless" in Seattle and all over Washington tonight.

Fans across the Yakima Valley were disappointed to say the least after such a close game, but fans we spoke to still had plenty of faith in their team.

Chad Page told us he became a Seahawk fan while living in Georgia, but it wasn't until he moved to Yakima he realized what it means to be a true Seahawk fan.

“I didn't quite understand till I came back how much this team meant to the state, the area, or the whole Northwest and I'm proud to be a Seahawk fan,” Page told KNDO.

We captured all the tense moments of the game at Jackson's Sports Bar, where fans were packed in from wall to wall.

Tammy Morford, a fan since the Seahawks first walked on the field in 1976, told us the loss was hard but that won't stop her from cheering even harder next year.

“I've been with them through the good the bad and the ugly, so I'll be with them till I die,” Morford said.

People cleared out quickly after the game ended, but a lifelong fan and employee at Jacksons told us he will always support the Seahawks whether they win or lose.

“I'm going to stay a fan and we have a young, strong team so I'm just excited to see what happens in the future,” Jonathan Shines told KNDO.
