Kennewick Police Arrest Car Prowlers on Saturday Night

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police arrested two car prowlers at the Hawaiian Village Apartments at 1105 W. 10th Avenue on Saturday evening.

A woman called police just before midnight to report that she heard some noises outside her apartment. She walked outside and noticed someone insider her car. She confronted the suspect, who then ran into a nearby apartment with several other males.

Officers contacted the apartment and arrested several subjects including 30-year-old Ty Cornwell and 28-year-old Brittany Sanchez.

Officers found Sanchez and Cornwell had warrants. They received a search warrant so they could go inside the apartment and find the car prowl tools used by Cornwell and Sanchez.

After investigating they determined that Cornwell used a shaved car key to get in to the victim's car. He was booked on for vehicle prowling and his warrants. Sanchez was booked on her warrants and resisting arrest.
