Nearly 150 Acres of Land Now Designated as Retail Space in Pasco

Posted: Updated:
PASCO, WA - The Pasco City Council Monday night unanimously decided to designate a 146-acre plot of land near the northwest corner of I-182 and Broadmoor Boulevard for retail business.

The land was previously zoned as a residential transition area, but council members believe making the change will bring in new businesses and more jobs.

"It's something that needs to be improved in this area. It's going to bring Pasco into a lot of the regional commerce that I think we been missing out on and plus I think it opens up the rebuilding sites, which is definitely a positive," says Councilman Al Yaney.

Right now the area is undeveloped.

The next step will be to put in utilities like water and sewer lines.
