YAKIMA, WA.- We're learning more about a murder in Zillah that actually happened several days ago.

A suspect is in custody, but there's a strange twist to this case, the body of the victim still hasn't been found.

18-year-old Yoset Dominguez -Serrano from Outlook appeared in court this morning, on charges of first-degree murder.

According to court affidavits Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma of Boardman, Oregon drove to Granger on February 3rd to sell a potential buyer his 1999 Ford Mustang.

Yakima Sheriff's Deputies were called out to East Houghten and Dekker Roads in Zillah where they found the Ford Mustang with the passenger window knocked out and blood covering the seat.

Detectives arrested Dominguez Serrano two days later on February 5th, after initial claims he didn't know Hernandez-Ledezma he admitted to shooting him.

However Dominguez Serrano told detectives he doesn't remember where he put the body or the gun he used to kill the victim.

“It's certainly not very often at all that we have a suspect in custody without having a homicide victim in hand as evidence so that part is very odd,” Mike Russell, with the Yakima Sheriff's Office told KNDO.

According to the court affidavit Dominguez Serrano claimed to not know the victim at first, but later confessed Hernadez-Ledezma had impregnated his 15-year-old sister.

The murder suspect is scheduled to appear in court again on February 19th, his bail is currently set at 1 million dollars.

YAKIMA COUNTY, WA - Yakima County Sheriff's detectives arrested an 18-year-old man from Outlook for murder early Thursday Feb. 5th.

The suspect, Yoset Dominguez-Serrano, 18, has admitted to shooting and killing Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma, 24, from Boardman, Oregon.

Yakima County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Dekker Rd. and Houghton Rd. next to an orchard in the Zillah area regarding suspicious circumstances on Feb. 3rd at about 4 p.m.

Deputies say a caller reported seeing an abandoned green 1999 Ford Mustang with Oregon plates with a window broken out and blood on the passenger seat.

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office found a used bullet inside the car.  Investigators were able to identify the owner as a Hernandez-Ledezma who was last known to have driven to Yakima County to sell the car.

Investigators say  Hernandez-Ledezma was last seen getting into the passenger seat of the car after letting the 'potential buyer' get into the driver's seat to test drive the car.

The location of the body of Hernandez-Ledezma remains unknown.

A Washington State Patrol crime laboratory team will be coming to Yakima to further inspect the car involved.

Next of kin has been notified.
