KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police say a standoff ended peacefully Friday afternoon after a man refused to come out of a house.

Police say Kenny Hooper went into a home that wasn't his Friday morning near the intersection of W. 10th Avenue and Irby Street.

Officers set up surveillance on the house and around 3 p.m. called in the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT.

Officers used flash bang grenades to coerce Hooper out of the house.

Police say Hooper is a suspect in a home burglary from January 30th where guns were stolen, that's why officers had to treat him as if he was armed.

Hooper surrendered about an hour and a half later.

He has been booked into the Benton County Jail for burglary charges along with several outstanding felony arrest warrants.

During the standoff Kennewick Police officers blocked off roads in the area.

UPDATE: Kenny Hooper has come out of his home. Police are saying he has a warrant for his arrest. It appears to be a mostly peaceful surrender.

BREAKING: The Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team arrived on the scene moments ago.  Officers were heard announcing "Kenny Hooper, You are under arrest!". Flash bangs proceeded.

UPDATE: KENNEWICK, WA - Police say there is an armed felon inside a home at W. 10th Ave. and Irby in Kennewick. A SWAT team is outside. ----------------------------------------
