YAKIMA, WA.- The Yakima school district's search for a new superintendent continues; they've now narrowed down the selection to 3 candidates.

The school board selected deputy superintendent Jack Irion, Mark Davalos, a superintendent at Saint Helens in Oregon, and assistant superintendent Danna Diaz from El Paso, Texas.

These finalists will be invited back next week to tour several schools, meet students and staff, and attend a public forum session.

The public forum will be Tuesday through Thursday at 5:15 at the school district offices.
