Toppenish Police Arrest 23 Year Old Man for Armed Robbery

UPDATE: TOPPENISH, WA - Toppenish Police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery from Monday night. 

Police say the 23 year old Hispanic man has been booked into the Yakima County Jail on 1st degree robbery charges.

Toppenish Police are looking for a man who robbed a store Monday evening. 

Police say around 8:20 p.m. a man walked into the store on the 200 block of South Toppenish Avenue, showed the clerk a knife and demanded money. 

The 18-year-old woman behind the counter ran to the back of the store to protect herself and Police say the suspect took off with the entire cash register. 

Police describe the man as Hispanic in his mid to late 20's, weighing about 180 pounds with a mustache. 

No one was hurt.
