PASCO POLICE: March Peaceful Until About 6:30 p.m. When Protesters Blocked Traffic

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA - Pasco Police say the march in Pasco Saturday brought out an estimated 700 people.

Police say the group peacefully walked to 10th and Lewis Street.

Officers say protesters spent a couple of hours at that location and Police had no problem reports up to that point.

At about 6:30 p.m. a group of about 75 people did not want to leave the 10th and Lewis Street area and walked into the intersection where they blocked traffic, police said.

Pasco Police called for assistance from Tri-City police agencies and about 30 law enforcement officers took control of the 10th and Lewis intersection with no resistance by those that were blocking traffic.

Law enforcement made no arrests related to the march and had no additional problems.
