PASCO, WA - NBC Right Now is continuing to learn more about the family Antonio Zambrano left behind.

Teresa De Jesus Meraz Ruiz explained how hard it was to break the news to her two daughters of their father's death.

She said she got a call around dinner time with very little details.

She says she asked the girls to sleep with her that night and told them nothing was for sure yet.

The next day the girls went to school and kept checking in with her.

While she was at work that day, a relative told her about the video on the internet.

She said it was horrible to watch and felt like she was being shot herself.

Later that day she finally told her daughters it was their father that had been shot.

"I was having dinner, can you image that? I felt like someone hit me in the stomach, having to tell my daughters the news...something very painful," said Meraz Ruiz in Spanish.

She also said,  the most painful part has been telling the girls the news. But she explained they have good friends who have really helped them through.
