Hanford Lifecycle Scope Report

RICHLAND, WA- As part of the Tri-Party Agreement, the Department of Energy, Environmental Management, the Richland Operations Office and the Office of River Protection have come out with an update on Hanford progress, costs and feedback.

In the Hanford Lifecycle Scope report, predictions say that most of the clean-up on the central plateau, tank farms, and river corridor will be complete by 2060 with final reactor clean-up on the river corridor in 2090.

By that 2090 mark, the report said $110 billion dollars will be spent on the clean-up efforts. $53 billion by the Richland Operations Office and $56 billion by the Office of River Protection.
