Pasco City Clerk Still Has Not Received Withdrawal Papers for $25 Million Claim

PASCO, WA- The Pasco City Clerk said Antonio Zambrano's wife's new attorney has not filed a withdrawal of the $25 million claim made by the previous attorney George Trejo.

The clerk has not received any official documentation for that withdrawal, and said there has only been email communication between Attorney Charles Herrmann and their office.

Technically, Herrmann cannot file a withdrawal because he is not the official attorney recognized by the city.

Teresa Meraz's former attorney George Trejo said in order for that to happen, herrmann needs to file a notion of substitution for Trejo to sign, then Herrmann will become the official attorney on record.

Trejo also addressed allegations that the $25 million claim was made without the wife's consent.

"That is 100% false.  We received consent from Teresa and the family and would not have done so without such consent.  The one good thing is that the parents have retained an experienced attorney in civil rights," said Trejo.

Trejo said he received a fax in English saying Teresa has new counsel and has not received the papers he needs from herrmann in order for the withdrawal to be completed.
