Police say they're searching for a young woman abducted from a Kennewick grocery store parking lot early Thursday morning.

Officers say they responded to reports of an accident in the parking lot at the Winco on West Clearwater about 6:50 a.m.  They say it appeared a woman driving a black BMW had hit four or five other cars, but she was gone.  When Police looked at store security video it showed the woman was trying to get away from several other people in cars who were trying to block her in.  Officers say somebody then took the woman out of her car, put her in another car and drove away.

Detectives say the missing woman is 22-year-old Samantha K. Noethe of Walla Walla.  They believe she knows the people who took her and it was not a random act.

"The public is not in danger tonight.  This is not random.  People shouldn't be in fear of going shopping and getting abducted.  These people all knew each other.  We don't know what the motive is yet, but we will find out," said Sgt. Ken Lattin, Kennewick Police Department.
