Woman Arrested for Stabbing Another Woman in the Eye with a Screwdriver During Fight

UPDATE: KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police have arrested a woman who stabbed another woman in the eye with a screwdriver during a fight over the weekend. 

Police say Larissa Iracheta is accused of stabbing Julia Murandanes during the fight at Munandanes house in the 19-hundred block of West 5th avenue. 

Iracheta has been booked in to the Benton County Jail on Burglary and Assault charges.



Kennewick Police say the investigation into an assault Saturday morning has led to two arrests.

Kennewick Detectives arrested Vanessa Wentworth on unrelated misdemeanor warrants and Victoria Hoover for Residential Burglary Domestic Violence. 

Detectives with search warrants gathered evidence from the people they detained at the incident.  Detective also used a search warrant to gather evidence at 1903 W. 5th Ave.

Police say the original disturbance involved a man and a woman who had been in a longer term relationship plus people other people they know. The dispute began at a local bar and eventually carried over to the victim's home.  The victim in this case is the mother of the involved man.  The victim was stabbed in her eye with a blunt object.

The victim is Julia Muradanes, who police say is now in stable condition undergoing surgery to treat the stab wound to her eye

The investigation remains ongoing, however all involved subjects are believed to have been identified.PREVIOUS -   Kennewick police responded to a physical altercation early Saturday morning that led to a woman being stabbed in the eye with a blunt object.

Police said Saturday around 3 a.m. a physical disturbance took place at 1903 W 5th Ave in Kennewick. During this physical altercation Julia Muradanes, received an injury to her eye from being stabbed with a blunt object.

Officers found several subjects believed to be involved in this incident. Kennewick Criminal Investigation Division is handling the investigation along with detectives.

Muradanes was taken to Trios ER then transported to Harborview Medical Center.

At this time, Kennewick police are not looking for any other suspects.
