Selah Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

SELAH, WA - An 18-year-old Selah man suffered minor injuries in motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon.

Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies, Selah Fire crews and medics responded to the intersection of N. Wenas Rd. and Graber Rd. in Selah at around 2:00 p.m.  


Deputies say the 18-year-old  man was riding his motorcycle northbound on N. Wenas at a high rate of speed when a pickup truck pulling a trailer driven by a 61-year-old Selah man entered N. Wenas from Graber Rd.

Officers say the motorcycle rider skid, lost control and laid the bike down. The rider and his bike slid into a ditch near the intersection. The rider, was wearing a full faced DOT approved helmet. He suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby Yakima hospital. 

The other driver was not injured.
