Burglars Attempt To Break Into Pasco Store With Power Tools

PASCO, WA - The Exotic Pair Boutique on West Clark was the site of an attempted break in this week and it was all caught on surveillance video. At least one man is seen covering the neighboring stores cameras the week before he attempts the burglary at Exotic Pair.

One employee at EZ Fix explained how he believed it was planned, "First, they plan it. Then they see nobody's watching. Then nobody (at the store) see's the tapes before that night." He believes the burglars thought, "We don't care anymore about these cameras, nobody see's them."

The intruders used a power tool to get through the first door of the boutique. Once they reached the second door, an alarm went off.

Nothing could have prepared the owner, Elizabeth for when she received a call at 6 a.m., informing her of the attempted break in. "We got ready, we came and thank God it was only the damage that had been done. They were not able to steal anything because of the alarm," recalled Elizabeth, "I think that after the alarm sounded, they ran away."

Elizabeth explained to NBC Right Now that she was worried, "Yes, when I got here and saw my store all damaged, of course, I got very nervous. I didn't feel comfortable being here by myself at my store."

Employees from stores in this area are also worried about the gutsy moves these burglars made, but they are glad a security alarm stopped them from taking anything of value.
