Allied Arts Helping Food Bank With "Empty Bowls 2015"

Posted: Updated:
RICHLAND, WA- Allied Arts Gallery at the Park and the Tri-Cities Food Bank are teaming up to help families in our area with the Empty Bowls fundraiser.

From now until April 3rd, you can buy a handmade bowl from the gallery for $20.00 or donate more, and all of it goes directly to the food bank. Not only are you helping a family in need, but a large list of restaurants in our area will give you a free bowl of soup if you bring in the bowl you bought.

"There is a need in the Tri-Cities, you always see we're helping all the unfortunate people in other countris, and right here we have quite a few families that are using the food bank every single week. They need help, not just on the holidays," explained Nancy Barnum, the Publicity Chairman for Gallery at the Park.

This is the first year Gallery in the Park is doing this fundraiser and with your help, they have sold 100 bowls so far.

If you feel like donating but want to give non-perishable food items instead, you can drop off your donation at the gallery right off of Lee Boulevard in Richland.
