NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:  On March 15, 2015 deputies responded to a report of gunshots being fired at a vehicle from the above listed address.  Upon investigation it was discovered that two adults had driven onto the property and had parked their vehicle on the property, without permission.  A farm caretaker of the property, Jay T. Powers 30 YOA, saw the vehicle and decided to confront the vehicle occupants, to find out why they were on the property.  Powers armed himself with a handgun and attempted to approach the vehicle.  The occupants, not knowing what Powers wanted, became concerned and attempted to drive away.  As the occupants drove away, Powers fired multiple shots at the vehicle, striking the rear of the vehicle several times. No one was injured during the incident.

On March 17, 2015 Powers was arrested for Assault 2nd and booked into the Benton County Jail.  Further charges for Felon in Possession of a Firearm have also been sent to the Prosecutors office for charges against Powers.
