Pasco Police Investigating after Bicyclist Claims He Was Shot by Passing Car

UPDATE: Pasco Police say Joey Matta is the 36-year-old man shot in the arm Wednesday night.


Police are still investigating who shot Matta.

PREVIOUS/ PASCO, WA - Pasco Police officers are investigating after a shooting Wednesday night. 

Officers were called to the Thunderbird Motel around 8:15 p.m. and found a 36-year-old man had been shot in the arm. The injury is not life-threatening. 

The victim told police that a car drove past him while he was riding his bicycle westbound on Columbia Street and that a passenger shot him from the driver's side back seat. He said he does not know why he was shot at. 

Police are now looking for a maroon Acura-type four-door car but have no suspect information at this time.
