Law Enforcement Honor & Remember Trooper Killed in the Line of Duty 16 Years Ago

PASCO, WA - Law enforcement in the Tri-Cities Wednesday night honored and remembered a Washington State Patrol Trooper who was killed in the line of duty in Pasco 16 years ago.

Trooper James Saunders was killed during a routine traffic stop at 28th and Lewis Street. He was shot several times by a man he pulled over for drunk driving.

Trooper saunders was 31 years old and had been with the state patrol for eight and a half years.

The man who shot him is serving a life sentence in prison without parole.
