PROSSER, Wash. - An 8-month-old boy from Kennewick who was killed in a seven-vehicle pileup during a dust storm south of Prosser has been identified.

The Benton County Coroner identified Tyler Roy as the infant who died in the crash Saturday evening.

Family members say the 7-year-old boy woke up from a coma on Sunday.

An 8-month-old baby has died after blowing dust created little to no visibility for drivers on SR 221 near County Well Road Saturday night.

Troopers responded to the area 11 miles south of Prosser around 5:30 p.m. The young child from Kennewick was transported to Prosser Memorial Hospital where he later passed away. 

53-year-old Bryant Reimann from Utah and 43-year-old Ernesta Gonzalez of Pasco were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for their injuries.

17-year-old Martin Figeroa of Grandview and 17-year-old Yesenia Talavera of Pasco were taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital.

70-year-old Thomas Danaher of Bremerton and 67-year-old Nancy Danaher of Bremerton were transported to Kadlec's ER in Kennewick. 

An unidentified 7-year-old boy from Kennewick was injured as well and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital.

All seven vehicles involved were southbound on SR 221 at County Well Road when they collided due to low visibility caused by a dust storm. A cause of the crash is under investigation, and charges are pending.
