A week long FBI operation called Operation Cross Country, aimed at helping sexually exploited children has recovered three children, arrested 11 people suspect of exploiting children and adults in Washington state along with 3 sex trafficking victims in Oregon.

The FBI task force also made contact with 119 adults who were being victimized through prostitution in Washington.

In Franklin County, Jerry Porter was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the Second Degree.  Porter is being held on $250,000 bail.

Also a 24-year old woman is being charged for prostitution in Franklin County.

The FBI in Portland says it rescued three child sex trafficking victims and arrested eight alleged pimps last week as part of a national operation cracking down on child exploitation.

Authorities said Tuesday that underage trafficking victims were found in Portland and Beaverton, Oregon as well as Vancouver, Washington.

Seven people ranging in age from 31 through 48 were arrested on charges of promoting prostitution. A 25-year-old woman was charged with promoting commercial sex abuse of a minor.

The arrests took place in Portland, Eugene, Salem and Vancouver.

The operation was part of a national sting conducted in 135 cities. Altogether, authorities found 149 minors and arrested more than 150 people.
