Ellensburg Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Heroin Distribution that Led to a Death

ELLENSBURG, WA - A judge has sentenced an Ellensburg man to 15 years in prison for selling heroin that led to a death.

According to information presented during the court proceedings, 30 year old Levi Lawrence Morefield sold heroin to multiple individuals in 2012 and 2013.

In May 2013, Morefield distributed heroin that ultimately was used by an individual who died as a result of an overdose.

In September, 2013, Morefield was charged by indictment with several heroin distribution offenses.

He entered a guilty plea on February 17, 2015.

Morefield will also be under court supervision for three years after getting out of prison.

Morefield had also been arrested in 2010 for his involvement in a home burglary.
