Bellevue Woman Drives Through Front Window of Driving School During Test

BELLEVUE, WA - Taking your first driving test can be a bit stressful. I remember sweating bullets as I was trying to parallel park. "Trying" is the key word here. I failed that part of the test miserably, but I still passed my first time. Not much of a story compared to the student driver who failed their test in Bellevue Friday morning in grand fashion.

Officers were called to a car into a building Friday morning and that's exactly what they found when they arrived. Except this car was lodged firmly through the doors and into the lobby of a driving school business.

Police said a woman in her 20's who is new to the country was just finishing up her first driving test and was pulling into the parking space in front of the building when she mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal. She went right through the front windows.

Her driving instructor said she was doing great up until "that very last part." Understandably, driving through the front window of any building, let alone your driving school, qualifies as a fail.

No one was hurt and the damage to the building is mainly cosmetic.
