NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Tennessee say a man shot to death was not a student at Tennessee State University, where an apparent dispute over a dice game in an outdoor courtyard led to gunfire.
Police say two other people who were wounded are students.
Authorities say there are no indications of an active shooter in the Nashville metro area.

NASHVILLE, TN - Authorities say three people have been shot at Tennessee State University in Nashville, and one is in critical condition.

Tanya Stone, operations supervisor for the Metro Nashville emergency communication center, says authorities transported three people with gunshot wounds to a Nashville hospital after a shooting on campus.

Stone did not know if they were students and did not have any information on their conditions.

She says police are "all over the scene" and there's no indication of an active shooter.

A university police dispatcher said the campus was on lockdown as of 1:00 a.m. (2:00 a.m. ET), but would not comment further and referred questions to TSU media relations.

The incident comes just over a week after three people were wounded by gunfire at an off-campus party across the street from the college.
