KENNEWICK, WA- Power 99.1 strung more than 1,000 bras across the Cable Bridge from the Kennewick to the Pasco side Saturday for Breast Cancer awareness month.

More than 1,000 bras were collected throughout the month to make this long stretch across the bridge happen.  Reka and Gunner from Power 99.1 said the goal of the bras are to raise awareness.

"Obviously, the sooner you get checked at the doctor and get your mammograms, the sooner if something is there, the sooner you can get help and the sooner you can be healthy and survive this," said Reka Robinson, host of Reka and Gunner in the Morning.

For every bra donated, Power 99.1 will donate $1 to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.  The bras will stay up for the rest of the Saturday.  Afterward, they will be donated to Lourdes and Domestic Violence Services in Kennewick.
